Sophie Longwill is a multi-disciplinary artist who uses humour and craft to explore the everyday and make the ordinary more extraordinary. She has completed a joint major BA (hons) in Glass Design and History of Art and Design in the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.

In 2015, she was awarded an International Student Exchange placement at the Southern Illinois University (SIU) Glass Program in the USA. She was previously awarded a Fetac level 5 in Art, Craft and Design at Grennan Mill Craft School in Co. Kilkenny.

Her work has been selected for international and national exhibitions. These include Enantiodromia at Gallery Zozimus, Dublin (2016), Granularity, Contemporary Glass Society, Online Exhibition, UK (2015), The International Student Exhibition, Glass Art Society Conference, San Jose, California, USA (2015), and Pop Up exhibition, The Glass Olympics, Alfred University, New York, USA. Her work can be found in the permanent collections of Irish Life and Kildare County Council offices. She is a jeweller for the designer Chupi and serves as the Student Representative on the Board of the Glass Society of Ireland.
